From the letter sent in by his mother:
“I am a single mother of a disabled child. I ask for help for my son Sasha. He is ten years old, and from birth he has had a serious illness – cerebral palsy (CP). Everything that a healthy baby reacts to innately from birth, Sasha has had to acquire by learning for many hours on end.
Because I see how hard Sasha works to gain these basic skills that many of us take for granted, I enjoy every little thing that happens to my child. It is difficult to understand the joy of a mother when, at the age of six, her child has learned how to drink from a straw! This year Sasha has showed new results in his progress – he took a pen in his hand and began to write his first letters, numbers and lines. He diligently puts the letters into syllables, and syllables in words.
From birth, we have traveled to many centers, tried various techniques, and realized that with we have gained the best results from the Shamarina center which we hope to continue to attend. Two instructors every day for two hours teach Sasha how to sit, stand, take steps while standing up. As a result, Sasha’s scoliosis also does not appear to worsen after rehabilitation. I really hope that after the rehabilitation course in the center, Sasha will be able to stand without the support of his apparatus and that his back muscles will strengthen.
He has gone through a difficult journey despite only being ten years old. However, we will cope with all the challenges that will sooner or later, only thanks to you and your support! ”
