Most of our patients in families and institutions, same as you and I, are already dreaming of New Year presents – toys, impressions, gadgets, clothes or footwear. The residents of Care Home No. 11 for disabled people in Lyublino which houses 651 full-time patients with severe and multiple developmental disorders would also like to dream of New Year presents now.
However, the lockdown brought significant changes, so people here have to dream of bare necessities. Right now the institution needs an ELECTROCARDIOGRAPH for continuous monitoring the patients’ heart condition. In all fairness, it must be said that Care Home No. 11 is one of the leading, well-furnished and equipped municipal social institutions. It is mostly adults who need ongoing medical screening that reside here. However, the budget is set for one year ahead, and certainly, nobody could’ve predicted the COVID-19 pandemic, least of all several waves and periods of quarantine. So, even though the institution desperately needs a cardiograph right now, it can’t be purchased within public funds.
Why do they require a cardiograph? There are plenty of bed-bound and wheelchair-confined patients as well as those suffering from severe mental disorders in the Care Home – and it’s hard to bring them to the outpatients’ clinic. It was always difficult to bring such patients to the clinic, but the institution staff coped. However, during the lockdown such visits also carry the risks of picking up the infection and bringing it back to the facility. It’s hard to even imagine what a disaster it might be for patients with poor health and weak immunity.
Dear friends, the Care Home management turned to our Fund for help with a request to purchase an electrocardiograph. They will then have a chance to control heart health for those patients who need medical screening more effectively without troublesome and risky visits to the clinic. It would just be possible to have medical rounds monitoring patients on the spot and doing cardiograms in their rooms!
Electrocardiograph SCHILLER CARDIOVIT АТ-102 plus at 400,000 rubles fully complies with the production and quality requirements of the institution.
The fund is raising funds to purchase it!
Our joint efforts will protect the residents of Care Home No. 11 from unwanted risks and additional troubles.
