Requires: a wheelchair Hoggi, worth 194,000.00 rubles.
Diagnosis: cerebral palsy, mixed form, delayed psycho-speech development, GMFCS level 3.
“My pregnancy proceeded without any threats and I thought Ivan would be born normally. Yet at 39 weeks we were taken to the maternity hospital of Krasnoyarsk where my delivery was difficult and long. Vanya could not be born, where my son experienced strong hypoxia (lack of oxygen). Vanya did not shout and he was born blue. We waited scared as he was on the ventilator for five days and did not move, just simply lay there while he was fed through a probe. Every day he had to change this probe, which meant he experienced terrible pain during its removal and insertion every time once more.
He passed up to a year with this probe, which meant we spent almost all of our time in hospitals. In the same year we received the diagnos that Ivan had cerebral palsy. We were constantly treated in the hospitals of our city, but there was no change.
However, thanks to caring people and certain charity foundations, we managed to complete several rehabilitation courses which have proved positive results. Now Vanya understands the speech addressed to him and can say fourteen words. Yet he still can’t sit and walk by himself.
Thus, that is why we need a wheelchair so much. Our current wheelchair has been used for so long that now it has broken down. I do not work because I have to be with my son as there is no one else to look after him after Ivan’s father could not stand our situation and left us.
So, please help us in our current situation as every little bit counts.”
