New Year’s holidays for many charity funds are time-trouble and almost round-the-clock work, our Fund is no exception. After all, you need to find New Year’s gifts for orphans, bring them, distribute them, and do not forget to congratulate our donors, our wonderful teachers, doctors, and colleagues…
The real happiness is when suddenly there are volunteers on the doorstep, who can help real things, new ideas, free time…. As a Sarah Stobbart – friend and volunteer for Diema’s Dream Fund.
Thanks to Sarah, we were able to congratulate orphans from Vidnovsky orphanage (Vidnoye city) and Bobrovsky orphanage (Pskov region), which are located in remote and inaccessible areas, with New Year holidays. Sarah brought colorful children’s toys and educational games, but, of course, the most valuable thing is attention and care for those children who so rarely get it.
Unfortunately, now among the philanthropic community we often hear: “Enough to give gifts to the orphanages!” It is difficult to imagine that the small piece of happiness that a child, deprived of many things, especially joy and human warmth, receives for the New Year, make him a consumer, or even worse, a criminal. Working with our orphans, we see on numerous examples that games and toys, joint participation in games – a necessary step of development and socialization of any child. Gifts for our children are not pampering, but a sign of support and attention.
