We continue to work on the project «Verticalization» in several establishments.
So, recently we brought to Moscow for treatments two children from the Pervomaisky orphanage for mentally retarded children (Kostroma region). In the Federal Bureau of medical and social examination of Moscow Serezha was operated on one leg and he was planned to make a second soon. Thanks to operations, he will be able to walk much more confident and better! Arina was not able to have an operation due to her health condition, but inspections were conducted. There is another child for a treatment soon. And also it is planned to manufacture orthopedic products for these and other children of the Pervomaisky orphanage, which will significantly improve their physical conditions.
The daily work with children has been continuing In Elatomsky orphanage. There are 16 children for now who in need to help on the project «Verticalization». There every day two assistants have painstaking and physically difficult work – put on and take off of orthopedic products in which children stand, walk and even sleep! Assistants have to be creative with each child – to encourage cookies or to show a cartoon. But the results of this work inspire to everyone, including the children themselves! Children who had been lying in beds for many years now walk and even run! All children have a general strengthening of their bodies; they eat better, grow and gain weight. And the children develop mentally, more and more they show interest in the world, become more attentive, sociable and smiling, more independent and mobile. And the integration of children into the social environment continues – after all, children walk on streets.
Also we have another several establishments in which we will help children. We plan to organize in spections of children by orthopedic doctors in the center for assistance to the family device «SKOLKOVO» (Moscow city) and Arzamas orphanage (Nizhny Novgorod region).
