Anya’s mother tells in more detail about the results achieved in her letter:
Hello, dear Elena Anatolyevna, Maria Alexandrovna and employees of the Foundation!
We sincerely thank the Diema’s Dream Foundation as a whole, Maria Alexandrovna and each employee for the fact that one day you all touched Anya’s fate with kindness and remained in her life, constantly supporting and helping! We immensely appreciate your care and love for someone else’s child! Her health is improving, and the piggy bank of skills is replenished by your hands!
This is the most important thing – to feel support and a hand that will not let go in difficult situations.
We stumble, get tired, make mistakes, temporarily lose faith and meanings, and then you always come to the rescue – lean on, exhale and go into life again, already with support, with new strength and hope!
Understanding. that you are not in vain.
Realizing that everything is not in vain.
With confidence that everything will be fixed.
Anya very successfully completed the field rehabilitation course at the DCA Rodnik, as the staff of specialists was 100% aware of the child for many years. They worked on the same system and consulted with each other for greater efficiency.
Separately, I want to thank you for this opportunity to get on the field course. We are already old people for Rodnik, since 2012 we know the center before, we went to St. Petersburg to school. We still love the St. Petersburg specialists and would very much like to continue working with them in view of their extreme efficiency at least sometimes, at least once a year. But, unfortunately, we can’t go to St. Petersburg now because of the school. Anya studies in a general education program, it is very difficult for her to study and pull such a program, so any gaps threaten with deuces and expulsion from school, and if you leave for St. Petersburg, you will have to skip school. Therefore, the only chance to get in is an exit course. It is there that specialists from St. Petersburg come in the summer. For us, an exit course is not the sea and not a vacation. We almost never go to the sea, only on weekends, no matter what you think.
* In the AFC classes, the main emphasis was on legs, support, emphasis, walking, lifting. Anna has become much more confident in standing with support and walking, transferring body weight while walking. The muscles of the back, the press, the gluteal muscles got stronger, the distance that the daughter could walk increased. She began to control the pelvis and not to fill up the hips to the sides. Improved vestibular abilities and coordination of movements.
* Classes with a neurospeech therapist were mainly aimed at the field of defectology, that is, at developing knowledge about the world around us and working to correct learning difficulties, especially in mathematics. The concentration of attention improved, Anya became more diligent and completed all the tasks to the end.
* During classes with a speech therapist, Anya mainly learned breathing skills due to the fact that she has an orthodontic structure in her mouth as a foreign body, and it became necessary to restore breathing, inhalation and exhalation in order to drink and eat easier, as well as sing and breathe at all. In particular, exercises were carried out on the mechanical setting of sounds, since with the design the perception became different, since the design interfered, and the sounds were erased, speech became blurry.
* A very important activity was fine motor skills “hand therapy”. This is AFK for hands. Since Anya is studying on a computer at school, typing and her hands, and the upper shoulder girdle is constantly clamped, it is necessary to carry out prevention and reduce spasticity, and train the opposition of the thumb and pincer grip, as well as the rotation of the hand in terms of skills. Anya loves to open the door with a key, cut something, twist, unscrew, and for this they developed a wrist joint. It is now easier for her to eat from a spoon herself, her hands have become softer and more obedient.
These are all important skills, and for them we thank you all endlessly. Every small step leads us on the path to health! And in this you help us!
May you have everything that the soul requires! All the best and good health!
With respect and gratitude,
Ekaterina and Anna Voronkovs
