Timofey is an amazing boy. In his 9 years, he easily adds up numbers in the mind within 1000 and solves three-step problems. He is in the first grade of a remedial school in the general education program and makes special progress in mathematics.
And although Tima develops within his age norm – both mentally and physically, however he does not speak. He cannot tell his relatives how he manages to count and solve problems so quickly that he thinks about a neighbor’s cat and why he likes a toy red fuel truck more than a blue truck. And there are so many other things Tim would like to ask his mom! For example, he would like to know where he gets so much water from in the Ik river, which flows near their beautiful town of Oktyabrsky.
But so far it is not possible to ask.
Tim himself deep in his heart hopes that his uncles and aunts at the clinic where they were last time will help him put syllables into words, and then maybe even a few words together. The boy has already prepared for the trip – he has got a new notebook to solve his favorite examples, and he has found a box where he will put his little fuel truck.
Due to the difficult financial situation, the family cannot independently pay for the rehabilitation course which is necessary for Tim to pass in the Nizhny Novgorod clinic. But Tim’s relatives believe that this time he will start talking.
In the case when the money received for the treatment of a particular child exceed the necessary amount, the remainder is used for the treatment of other children and other expenses under this program. (Clause 1.6.3 of the Regulations on the Charity Program for Targeted Assistance “Step Towards”)
