In late February, we once again came to podiatrists in Elatma`s orphanage (Ryazan region.) For routine examination of children participating in the project verticalization. As usual, some of the children greeted us joyfully, some wary – some doctors are still afraid, even though they know them for a long time.
in the project we have examined 14 children,. Most continued positive dynamics of development – they grow, gain weight, increase stamina, moving more confidently develop intellectually.
Some children orthopedic devices become small. So, Dasha B. (name is changed) greatly grew, and Andrew G. (name is changed) did surgery on his legs and the old orthoses no longer fit. We will soon make new ones. And Elia`s and Nastia`s (names are changed) orthoses we took in Moscow to increase their size. Some children managed to pick up vehicles from a previously made, they come in size. Someone picked up more comfortable shoes.
Once we looked at 3 new children who have recently moved to the children’s home – Tanya S., J. Leroux, Misha G. (names are changed). All the childrens perspective and doctors offered to bring them to Moscow, in FBMSE – where they were carefully examined, appoint and determine further treatment strategy to work with them.
9 children from the “old” members of the project has twice been treated in FBMSE – all muscle spasticity decreased significantly, a neurological condition was better. Regular admission of Elatma`s children is planned in April and May.
