Our fund has helped Seryozha T. – our beneficiary whose belongings were lost in fire.
Seryozha has been under our care for many years, and recently he has had an accident. He is a 26-year-old young man living in a neuropsychiatric boarding facility in Moscow. He is allowed to go out to the city, and he is very active in various places including the Center for equal opportunities for orphans ‘Up’ and the art studio for orphans, children with special needs and graduates of boarding facilities ‘Maria’s Children’. Seryozha went to stay in a social village in the Tula region for the summer like he did last year. There he worked as a shop assistant in a grocery store. Unfortunately, there was a fire in the village, all Seryozha’s belongings were caught in fire with the entire village. Happily, Seryozha himself was not hurt as he managed to get out of the fire, but the clothes he was wearing was all he had left.
The Fund bought clothes for Seryozha, including a warm jacket, trousers, sweatshirts and T-shirts, as well as books, gadgets, hygiene products and a backpack, spending more than 56 000 rubles in total on these essentials.
In the beginning of July one of our employees went to the facility where Seryozha lives and brought over a suitcase full of his new clothes. It is needless to say, that this help greatly cheered up the young man. We are glad that the support of the Fund has given at least a little bit of comfort to Seryozha, and we hope that it will smooth over the troubles and worries he experienced.
We would like to thank you all for their donations to our ‘Help’ program aimed at helping children and adults with disabilities living in boarding facilities and orphanages! The help we all provide to them is very important, because with their tiny pension they can’t afford to buy even the most ordinary books or things or gadgets. Together with you we are able to help fulfill their dreams, even if small but yet so important!
