The Potanin Foundation continues to support NPOs in these unstable times. The total grant funding of the new contest – ‘School of Philanthropy’ – will amount to 300 million rubles.
The objective of the competition is to support local public initiatives and NPO projects aimed at improving the quality of life of the least protected categories of citizens. Initiative groups, non-profit organizations, local community foundations and resource centers working with the effects of the crisis all over Russia will be able to take part in the School of Philanthropy. Applications open on May 5th.
The winners in the nominations for initiative groups and non-profit organizations will be elected in an open competition, and for infrastructure non-profit organizations the competition will be held by invitation. Among the candidates for a special invitation from the fund are organizations focused on involving residents in solving local social problems and in transforming the environment.
The open competition will be held in two stages: from May 5th to August 1st, 2020 (applications are accepted from May 5th to June 5th) and from July 5th to October 1st, 2020 (applications are accepted from July 5th to August 5th). All applications will be evaluated by independent experts. The invitation competition will be held for five months (from May 15th to October 15th, 2020) with a monthly summing-up.
