This Saturday, a children’s creative master-class by the wonderful art critic Elina Gritchina about impressionism and abstraction was held for the benefit of our foundation. It took place as part of the “Kind People” city festival in the Muzeon art park.
Even the sun came out to the beginning and stayed with us until the end! Whoever was going to but was frightened by the cloudy morning weather and did not come – can kick yourself. The master class was unforgettable for the little participants.
We got on the “Kind People” festival: we told the children about impressionism and abstraction using the examples of Monet and Kandinsky. It was a completely new format of participation for us. There was a magical adventure for the children who took part in the master class. It‘s noteworthy that only girls took part in our educational and entertainment event (the boys next door were enthusiastically learning the skills of biosimulation on data tablets). Within the framework of the master class, the girls, with their irrepressible craving for beauty, enthusiastically created the painting “Water Lilies” based on Monet’s motives and an abstract application of colored paper in the spirit of Kandinsky. We certified each work with a stamp in the form of the foundation’s logo to the delight of children.
The master class lasted almost 2 hours instead of an hour but our little creators were tireless! Elina led the lesson in a lively, easy, informative, creative way. She constantly communicated with children and skillfully involved them in knowledge and creativity.
We are glad that we were able to show mothers and children a film about the activities of the foundation – it’s always better to see once than hear a hundred times. It seemed to us that the film and our work with ward children with severe and multiple developmental disabilities touched the hearts of the master class participants.
We are happy that we were able to give creative inspiration to the girls, in addition that a little more people around us have learned about great artists and who and how the Diema’s Dream Foundation helps.
We sincerely thank Elina for conducting the master class and hope that new bright joint projects await us!
This support is very valuable to the foundation.
We also thank the organizers of the Kind People Festival – the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation – for supporting the foundation’s master class with the necessary creative materials.
