#GivingTuesday is the international day of giving. On this day, millions of people tell how and to whom they help.
Last year alone in Russia over 70,000 people made 100,000 donations and donated 27 million rubles to social projects.
Our foundation has been helping orphans with SMDD and children with SMDD in families for more than 16 years. During this time, hundreds and thousands of wards received help, fulfilled their dreams, received the necessary treatment and rehabilitation.
We are struggling with the consequences of cerebral palsy – cerebral palsy. This is one of the factors that is often accompanied by violations of various functions of the body, and as a result, the child experiences difficulties with speech, movement, mental and sensory abilities, as well as self-care and socialization opportunities.
The most amazing thing in our work is when we see the results of rehabilitation, when even orphans with disabilities find a new family, because we manage to “pump” skills, educate the child and overcome the barriers caused by disabilities. We are also inspired by the stories of how the life of a family with such a child improves when there is help.
We are working to ensure that every family in our society, when a child with SMDD appears in it, receives the best support and the necessary help on time and within walking distance.
