From 30 April to 31 May 2020 Diema’s Dream Fund has been running the #Portage.QualityofLife campaign aimed at teaching vital skills and improving the quality of life of orphans with severe physical and psychological developmental problems. The campaign is part of the #GenerousTuesdayNow (#ЩедрыйВторникСейчас) special charity event, which unites ordinary people, non-profit organizations and local communities, government authorities and businesses against the coronavirus pandemic.
Despite the restrictions imposed because of the pandemic, experts of the Portage teams in 5 regions of Russia continue giving classes in orphanages and online consultations for parents of children with health limitations, being in contact with them almost day-and-night. Therefore, the process of education of children goes uninterrupted, which is very important for consolidation of the skills already acquired. With the lessons based on the “Portage” method, children with severe physical and psychological developmental problems, who were formerly considered unteachable, can acquire new vital skills: they learn how to walk, eat, speak and play.

The funds raised during the #Portage.QualityofLife campaign are used to support classes based on the Portage method for children with severe and multiple developmental disabilities.
We thank 101XP Labs LLC for donating 110 000 rubles. With your help we will be able to improve the quality of life of children with developmental disabilities!
