Irina will go to a long-awaited rehabilitation course this fall thanks to donations that came in full from Maria Aglushevich, Ambassador of our foundation, as well as funds that came through our official website via electronic transfers through a private donation from Galina Kuznetsova, who also on behalf of We express our sincere gratitude to the Foundation!
Required: a rehabilitation course at Adeli-Penza, Penza, worth 225,000.00 rubles.
Diagnosis: cerebral palsy, mental retardation
After the rehabilitation course, it is expected that Irina’s leg muscles will get stronger, she will learn to walk independently, confidently and correctly, and spasticity will decrease.
From the story of mother Irina:
Irinka’s mother found out about her pregnancy on a warm May day. I immediately got registered, began to regularly take tests and prepare for the birth of a child. Summer, autumn and the beginning of winter passed quietly, everything went well. But suddenly, a week after the New Year, for a period of 28 weeks, her stomach ached. The ambulance took her to the hospital. Got into a change of shifts, had to wait. Probably, these half an hour played a fatal role in the birth of the baby.
From my mother’s letter:
“Doctors, having come to replace, were horrified, and began to shout that the child’s head was blue. That’s how Irina was born …
My daughter began to keep her head on time. However, at 4 months, the eyes “squinted”. We underwent an MRI, after which we were diagnosed with hydrocephalus. From 5 months we go for treatment. At the age of 7 months, we were given a disability – we were diagnosed with cerebral palsy, spastic diplegia.
From birth until 2015, we were treated in Barnaul at the Regional Hospital every 3 months. They underwent massage, exercise therapy, put leeches, did manual therapy, etc. Constantly traveling to Barnaul is a lot of money for us. Then we visited a sanatorium. Twice were in Kurgan. We went to Moscow for rehabilitation and treatment in 2017-2019. There we were consulted by a doctor from Spain – and he reassured us that rehabilitation is needed, then my daughter will walk.
My daughter is already 12, and she dreams of learning to walk on her own. In 2018, Irina underwent surgery on both legs (according to Ulzibat), after which her daughter began to take 10-12 steps. It is impossible to describe our joy!
My daughter is a very smart girl – she studies at 4 and 5 in a regular school. I take her to class, and then I pick her up and bring her home. Irinka really wants to be like her classmates. Mentally, she does not lag behind her peers and wholeheartedly wants to be like them in the development of motor skills. She dreams of going for a walk with her friends one day. But so far, Irina’s dream is unrealizable due to her illness.
We especially need help now, because the previous rehabilitation courses have yielded results – Irina began to be treated. And we can’t waste time now so as not to get a “rollback”. There is little time left to learn to walk. You are our last hope.
Irinka tries very hard and always achieves great results. After the next rehabilitation, we really hope that the muscles and legs will learn to move correctly. And then, after receiving help, my life with my daughter will change a lot!
I am raising Irinka alone. We are a poor family. There is no one to help us. One hope for the fund and good people. Please, help!
A low bow to you for your kind hearts and God bless everyone!”
